Aaron Shlomo Beilis is a New York-based attorney concentrating in tax Litigation, tax law and real estate finance. From 1975 to 1981 he was in the Office of the Chief Council of the Internal Revenue Service where he was the senior tax and trial attorney. During this time, Mr. Beilis provided legal services to the IRS in all phases of litigation before the U.S. Tax Court.
In his over 40 years of practice, Aaron Shlomo Beilis has represented his clients in litigating almost every type of tax dispute for both corporations, businesses and individuals. From 1981 to date Mr. Beilis has also represented developers, commercial, and industrial clients in tax matters and mortgage and project financing.
Between 1984 and 1990, Mr. Beilis litigated some of the most sophisticated real estate tax shelters syndicated in the 1980’s.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Beilis has lectured extensively on IRS practice and procedure at Pace Graduate School of Business and numerous bar and accounting associations throughout the United States.
Aaron Shlomo Beilis graduated cum laude from New York Law School in 1975, later receiving his masters in taxation (L.L.M.) from New York University School of Law. He is the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Negotiable instruments.
Mr. Beilis was admitted to the New York State Bar Association in 1976. He was subsequently admitted to the U.S. District Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of NY, the U.S. Court of Claims, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
